Look at the packaging. The regular LED strips will be packaged in anti-static roll trays, typically 5 meters in rolls or 10 meters in rolls, and then sealed with anti-static moisture-proof bags. The cottage version of the LED strip will use recycled reel trays because of cost savings, and then there is no anti-static moisture-proof packaging bag. Look carefully at the reel tray to see traces and scratches left on the exterior when the label is removed.
Look at the tags. The regular LED lights will have a printed label on top of the bag and reel, not a printed label. The cottage version of the label is printed, while the specifications and parameters are not uniform.
See Attachment. The regular LED strips will be accompanied by instructions and lamp strips in the box, and will also be equipped with LED strip connectors or decks, while the cottage version of the LED strips will not contain these accessories because They are able to save the province.
See solder joints. The LED strips produced by the manufacturer of the regular LED strips are produced using the SMT chip process using solder paste and reflow soldering processes. Therefore, the solder joint on the LED lamp strip is relatively smooth and the amount of solder is not large, and the solder joint is arc-shaped and extends from the FPC pad to the LED electrode. On the other hand, the amount of solder in the solder joints of the cottage version of the LED strip is not uniform, and it is often surrounded by a dot that covers the solder fillet. At the same time, tin spikes of different degrees appear. This is a typical phenomenon of manual soldering.
Look at FPC quality. FPC is divided into copper and rolled copper. The copper foil of the copper is protruding. If you look closely, it can be seen from the joint between the pad and the FPC. The rolled copper is closely integrated with the FPC, and can be bent freely without pad dropout. If the copper plate is bent too much, the pad will fall off. If the temperature is too high during repair, the pad will fall off.
Look at the cleanliness of the surface of the LED lamp. If the LED light strips produced by the SMT process are used, the surface cleanliness is very good and no impurities and stains are visible. However, if the cottage version of the LED light strip produced by the hand-welding process is used, no matter how the surface is cleaned, there will be traces of stains and cleaning residues, and there will be residual flux and tin residue on the surface of the FPC.
